We are back on the inspection trail this week, convening at Logan No. 78 on Saturday.
The Order of the Temple will begin at 2:00 PM with the banquet to follow. SK Nate Gerken is the Eminent Commander and the Inspecting Officer is SK Bill Windnagel, Division Commander of the 1st and 6th Divisions. SK Windnagel inspected Athens No. 15 last year; we welcome him back to the 4th Division! Come out and support the Sir Knights and Ladies of Logan 78 on Saturday.
We will have one more inspection in March after Saturday, and that will be at Jackson on March 23. Remember, there has been a change to the inspection schedule. Ironton 45’s inspection, which was scheduled for March 30, has been moved to May 4 due to a schedule conflict.
Lancaster No. 2 will be reviewed in the Full Form Opening at their stated conclave on Tuesday, March 12, at 7:30 PM. Light refreshments will be served at 6:30. The Sir Knights of the 4th Division have been GREAT turning out in big numbers to help with the lines, assisting the Commanderies who are doing the FFO prior to inspection day. As we all know, the Sir Knights of Lancaster No. 2 are tremendously helpful to our other 4th Division Commanderies pitching in with the lines when help is needed, so please help us return the favor Tuesday evening.
We had an excellent East Central Department Conference over the weekend in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Our Department Commander, SK Jerry Pugh, organized the event for Grand Encampment and, as you would expect, did a first-class job! Ohio by far had the greatest turnout. SK Travis Brown of Athens 15 took another step in the Emerging Leaders course – congratulations, Travis!
Keep SK Larry Byer in your prayers. Larry will get an update from the doctor this week and hopefully will receive a good report!
