<div>Sir Knights:</div>

<div>If you have Companions who need the Orders of the Commandery, here is a good opportunity to Knight them prior to the end of the York Rite year!</div>
<div></div>
<div><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">On Saturday at the Marietta Masonic Complex, 308 Front St. in Marietta, all of the Commandery Orders will be conferred beginning at 8:00 A.M.</span></strong></div>
<div></div>
<div>A full breakfast will be served beginning at 7:00 A.M. followed by registration for candidates.  The Order of the Red Cross and the Order of Malta will be conferred in Full Form in the morning.  There will be a break for lunch, then the Order of the Temple will be conferred for the class beginning at approximately 12:30.  The O. T. start time is approximate, however, so if you have Companions going for the O. T. only, be there by noon.  There is no charge for breakfast or lunch.</div>
<div></div>
<div>This All Order Day is a combined effort of the Knight Companions of two York Rite Colleges, Fort Steuben #194 in Steubenville and Ohio Valley #196 in Athens.  The casts, at least as far as speaking parts, are lined up, but we always need help with guards and other smaller or non-speaking roles.  We invite Sir Knights and candidates from all Divisions throughout the state to join us and help make this a memorable day for those who will begin their Templar journey.</div>
<div></div>
<div>This will be a nice-size class.  We are expecting it to number in the teens at least.  Take advantage of this opportunity to knight any Companions prior to May 31st so they will count on your membership totals for this year.   Feel free to forward this message to Sir Knights in your address book.  We don&#8217;t like to admit it but not everyone receives our 4th Division News Digest.  Yet.</div>

<div></div>
<div>Thanks to everyone who assisted with the Honor Guard for <strong>S. K. Verne Rinehart</strong> on Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in McArthur.  In addition to the 4th Division Sir Knights who took part, we welcomed S. K. Ron Vicars, Eminent Grand Junior Warden, S. K. Virgil Mick, Deputy Division Commander of the 8th Division, and S. K. Dave Snyder, Past Grand Commander.  With Verne&#8217;s career at Goodyear in Akron and his term as Past Prior of Ohio Priory #18, he made Masonic friends all around the state and these men made a great effort to show their respect by driving down to our area for his Masonic Service and calling hours.  Thanks, Sir Knights!</div>
<div></div>
<div>************************************</div>
<div>There will be Masonic Services at the Cardaras Funeral Home in Logan at 7:30 on Friday April 27th for <strong>S. K. Washington Bowers, Jr.</strong>, Past Commander of Logan Commandery #78 (no Honor Guard).  S. K. Bowers was actively involved in Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus for many years, and received his 33rd in 1992.</div>
<div></div>
<div>***********************************</div>
<div>We are sad to pass on the news that the grandson of<strong> S. K. John R. Clime</strong>, Past Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery last year, died unexpectedly earlier this week.  Please keep John and Lady Mary and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers.</div>
<div></div>
<div>***********************************</div>
<div><strong>S. K. Dan Arnold</strong>, P. C. of Ohio Valley Commandery #24, underwent a heart cath on Wednesday.  <strong>S. K. Roger Gaul</strong> reports, &#8220;Dan came out of Heart Cath OK.  They found some problems that will be treated with medication for now.   He is home doing very little at the moment.   <a href="tel:740.992.5963" target="_blank">740.992.5963</a>&#8220;  Check in with Dan; he&#8217;d like to hear from you!</div>
<div></div>
<div>***********************************</div>
<div>The Right Eminent Grand Commander, <strong>S. K. Jerry Holzer</strong>, was just released from the hospital on Monday after a 5-day stay.  The Grand Commander is at home on strong antibiotics and under doctors orders to stay there until futher notice.  If you want to drop the Grand Commander an e-mail, send it to <a href="mailto:amholzer65@gmail.com" target="_blank">amholzer65@gmail.com</a>.  He and Lady Millie would like to hear from their friends in the 4th Division!</div>
<div></div>
<div>***********************************</div>
<div><strong>S. K. Bob Seibert</strong>, Past Commander of Mt. Vernon #1 and a member of Logan #78 (our S.W. for many years), underwent knee replacement surgery on Monday.  Hopefully Bob will be up and around ASAP but it&#8217;s going to take a little while!  We appreciate your prayers for Bob and his Lady, Elizabeth.  You can send a note or card to 551 Edgehill Circle, Logan, OH 43138 or e-mail <a href="mailto:rgseibert@yahoo.com" target="_blank">rgseibert@yahoo.com</a></div>
<div></div>
<div>***********************************</div>
<div><strong>S. K. Richard Griffith</strong>, Division Commander up in the 7th Division (Cleveland area) will go into the hospital on Friday where he will undergo hip surgery.  Rich is a Past Chairman of the Eye Foundation for Ohio and has been a long-time cadence judge at Drill Competition at Grand Commandery.  Remember S. K. Rich and his Lady, Cindy, in your prayers, too!</div>

<div>Good Afternoon Sir Knights:</p>
<p>The traditional final inspection in the 4th Division takes place at Lancaster Commandery #2 on Saturday.</p></div>
<div></div>
<div>The Order of the Temple begins at 2:00 with the Full Form Opening to follow and dinner to conclude the day.  Reservations are not required this year for dinner; you can pay when you register.</div>
<div></div>
<div><strong>S. K. Thomas H. Gault, Sr.</strong>, Eminent Grand Captain General, and his Lady Dora will be in attendance to inspect.  This is S. K. Gault&#8217;s second appearance in the 4th Division this year; he inspected Marietta Commandery in February.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Several Sir Knights and Ladies are closing in on Perfect Attendance for Inspections &#8211; they will be recognized at the C.T.A. Meeting in June and if you are one of them, you&#8217;ve made it this far; don&#8217;t miss now! - and considering that the forecast is for cool temperatures and rain, you won&#8217;t want to be outside anyway so why not be there in support of S. K. David Van Gundy, Eminent Commander, and all of the dedicated officers, Ladies and Sir Knights of Lancaster Commandery #2!</div>
<div></div>
<div>On another note&#8230;Eminent Commanders: if you have Companions who need the Commandery Orders and you want to get them in prior to the end of the Templar Year in May, <strong>there will be a one-day festival at Marietta on Saturday May 19th beginning at 8:00 A.M</strong>.  This is a joint venture between Fort Steuben York Rite College (Steubenville) and Ohio Valley York Rite College (Athens).   If you plan to take Companions for this event, please forward their names to S. K. Tom Starr, Deputy Division Commander, when you have your list finalized.</div>
<div></div>
<div>The Chillicothe York Rite Bodies will also have a festival, but it is the last weekend of June and so anyone knighted there would go on next year&#8217;s list of Knightings.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Remember, <strong>Ascension Day and the CTA Annual Meeting is Sunday June 3rd at Athens at 2:30 and <span style="text-decoration: underline;">watch this space</span> for more information on the 4th Division Bus Trip to Alexandria, VA for the Triennial Drill Competition in August.</strong>  S. K. Jerry Pugh is working on the details and we will share them as soon as they are finalized.</div>
<div></div>
<div>See you on Saturday at Lancaster!!</div>

<div></div>
<div>We received this update this afternoon from Jennifer Collins regarding that S. K. Charlie underwent successful surgery today:</div>
<div></div>
<div><strong><em>Greetings one and all!<br />
Charlie&#8217;s surgery is over and we just got back to the hotel.  Everything went well according to the doctor, but unfortunately he got sick again and is feeling pretty rough right now.  They gave him some nausea meds and they helped SOME.  All of the vomiting hasn&#8217;t helped the soreness, but by tomorrow I trust he will be feeling MUCH better.  He made so much fun of me for insisting on spending tonight at the hotel again.  He is singing a different story now.  He actually has told several people that &#8220;Jennifer called this one right by staying in Columbus tonight.&#8221; Doc said his gall bladder was inflamed and he saw some scar tissue on it as well.  It did need to come out and that he would see us in about 2 weeks.  He was pleased with the whole thing.   We surely appreciate all of the care and prayers we have both received since this whole mess started.  God, and you all, have been so wonderful!!!<br />
Love to all,<br />
Jennifer and Charlie</em></strong></div>
<div></div>
<div>Great news to kick off our long Holiday weekend!</div>
<div></div>
<div>To everyone throughout the 4th Division and elsewhere who reads our news digest each week, we wish you a Happy and Blessed Easter filled with Love and Peace (and Chocolate)!!!</div>

<div>Hi Sir Knights:</div>
<div></div>
<div>This week on the 4th Division calendar we find the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Annual Inspection for New Lexington Commandery #57</span></strong>.</div>
<div></div>
<div>The Order of the Temple begins at 2:00 P.M. with Full Form Opening and dinner to follow.</div>
<div></div>
<div><strong>The Inspecting Officer is S. K. Burch E. Zehner, Past Grand Commander.</strong></div>
<div></div>
<div>We encourage you to come out and support S. K. Burrell Pettett, Eminent Commander, and the Sir Knights of #57.  We may need some additional help with the escorts and lines Saturday as some of the Sir Knights who regularly help in the lines may be helping in other capacities.  In the spirit of our traditional 4th Division cooperation, bring your sword and help us if you can!  For those watching the weather, there is a slight chance of showers but temperatures should continue to be mild through the weekend.  There is just one Inspection remaining in the Division after this one so round up the SKs and Ladies of your Commandery and make a push to secure one of our coveted Division Attendance Awards to be presented at our Annual Meeting (see below).</div>
<div></div>
<div>Our Ladies Night dinner was a big success!  Thanks to everyone who attended, to Sir Knights Jim Draper and Matt Schetter for entertaining, and especially to the Ladies of the 4th Division!  If you missed this year, we hope to see you back next year.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Put <strong>June 3, 2012 </strong>on your calendar as the date for the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">CTA Annual Meeting and Ascension Day Service</span></strong>.  We will begin at <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>2:30 P.M. at the Athens Masonic Complex</strong></span>.  Inspection Dates for next year will be selected so the incoming Eminent Commander or a representative of your Commandery should be in attendance.  We will also elect a 2nd Vice President and present the Traveling Awards for this year.  The Ascension Day Service will take place after the CTA Meeting, then a potluck dinner follows the Service.</div>

<p>Sir Knights:</p>
<p>Tom Ramsay sent this update on Lady Carol&#8217;s condition on Saturday afternoon:</p>
<div></div>
<div>I thought I would bring Carol Home today (Saturday)  but the Doctor thought otherwise. Her kidney function has deteriorated since yesterday, so they have restricted her fluid intake and are working to reduce the fluid around her heart. They now say she will be released Monday if everything goes well. I will keep you informed as things change on a daily basis.</div>

<p>03/05/2012</p>
<p>Sir Knights:</p>
<p>Great news from SK Tom Ramsay!  Lady Carol is home:</p>
<p><strong>&#8220;Just to let everyone know, Carol got home today (Monday) about 2:30, she is currently sleeping. Her kidney function has improved to the point that she should make a full recovery. The heart scare was due to fluid around the heart that made the heart enzymes to rise. Thanks for all your cards, prayers and calls.&#8221;</strong></p>

Tom</strong></p>
<p>If you&#8217;d like to send an e-mail, Tom and Carol&#8217;s address is <a href="mailto:stramsaygcoh@yahoo.com">stramsaygcoh@yahoo.com</a> or send a card to their home address: 8514 S. Bloomfield-Royalton Rd., Ashville, Ohio 43103-9444.</p>
